We are excited to announce that the University Staff Association is going to begin the process of onboarding a new Union Support Assistant! This is a position we’ve had in the past (under a few different titles) and, knowing how busy we all are and how busy we’re going to get as we come closer to bargaining, it’s a position we now NEED.
The ideal candidate is local, eager to work alongside a union, and likely a student (undergrad or grad) with a flexible schedule but could be a young professional seeking union organizing experience. Meaning, we want to extend our reach into places that we think the ideal candidate would easily be able to find the posting. If this means a USA member has a friend or family member who would be a good candidate for this, that’s where we want to reach. Please share this post with them!
