Event FAQs
What should I do if I arrive in Boston early?
If you arrive to the Statehouse area before 10AM, you can come to the HQ location at: Church on the Hill (140 Bowdoin St, Boston, MA 02108). Those arriving at or near 10AM should meet at the steps in front of the Statehouse at 23 Beacon Street (General Hooker Entrance)
What is the order of events?
We will begin with a rally on the front steps of the Statehouse before going inside to deliver our demands of a living wage to the Governor. We’ll then exit the building and eat lunch before returning home.
Where is the accessible entrance?
The Ashburton Park entrance on Bowdoin St. is accessible and there are elevators directly inside. Wheelchairs are available for loan upon request at the Ashburton Park accessible entrance. Look for marshals in yellow vests if you need assistance.

What should I wear?
Please wear weather appropriate clothing for November 20th in addition to any union swag you have! The current programming anticipates approximately 40+ minutes outdoors and then additional time indoors. Red ‘Fair Wages Now’ beanies will be provided for all participants on November 20th!
What should I bring?
Because we will be going through security, only bring what you need!
- Your phone and wallet.
- Signs (Note that signs on sticks are NOT permitted in the Statehouse).
- Essentials like snacks, medication, and water.
- Your coworkers, family, and friends! Have each one of them RSVP to reserve a spot on the bus.
Will there be food?
Box lunch will be provided for those who have RSVPed through the official RSVP link. There will be vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options, but due to the scale of the event, we are unable to accommodate more specific dietary restrictions. Those who have specific dietary restrictions beyond vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free are advised to plan accordingly.
