Classification Appeal
Referred to in Article 20, Section 2 (Classification and Reclassification) and Appendix C (Request to Appeal Classification of Trust-Funded Position) of the USA contract. An employee, who seeks a reclassification may request an audit of the position. More information can be found on the Reclassification webpage.
Flexible Work Arrangement
Referred to in Article 8, Section 1D (Scheduled Hours, Workweek, Workday) of the USA contract.
Performance Evaluation
Referred to in Article 29 (Employee Evaluation) of the USA contract. Performance evaluation of a classified employee is made annually by the supervisor within sixty (60) days prior to the anniversary date of initial hire with the exception of a probationary employee who shall be evaluated at the completion of the first three (3) months of probationary service and within one (1) month prior to the completion of the probationary period.

Temporary Work Assignment (also known as Out of Title Work)
Referred to in Article 19, Section 2 (Out of Title Work) and Appendix B (Temporary Work Assignment Form) of the USA contract. This form must be completed by an employee who has been assigned by their immediate supervisor to perform the duties of a higher rated position, and then submitted to your immediate supervisor no later than the tenth (10th) date of your performance of the higher rated position’s duties.
Tuition Waiver & Remission
Referred to in Article 24 (Tuition Remission) of the USA contract. The University offers tuition discounts in the form of Student Tuition Credits to University Employees and retirees, and the Spouses and Dependent Children of University Employees, retirees, and certain deceased University Employees.
