Dear Higher Ed for All Supporters,

We have made the difficult decision to postpone Higher Ed for All Advocacy Day at the State House, February 28, 2023, due to inclement weather. While we recognize that this news is disappointing, the safety of the students, faculty, staff, and allies is at the heart of our decision . We will be in touch when we schedule a new date for Advocacy Day.

In the meantime,  Here are two great ways to keep the momentum for Higher Ed for All:

SoapBoxx: While Advocacy Day is postponed, SoapBoxx is a great way to capture your experiences, stories, and testimony to help build for our postponed event in late March. Please encourage your members, students, and friends to share their story via the Higher Ed for All SoapBoxx: https://meja.soapboxx.us/category/63efa2c292cda96441804d9b

Contact Your Legislators:

  1. Locate Your Legislators: https://malegislature.gov/Search/FindMyLegislator
  2. See If They Have Already Endorsed Cherish:  https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1MJkTrlvExjH5dL94kPRhccSIjGZEVyrpGaUgUEMyBPk/edit#gid=1801847539
  3. Call, Write, or Plan a Visit with Your Legislator: Talk with your legislators and ask them to: (1) co-sponsor the Cherish Act (if they haven’t already) and (2) prioritize higher ed funding in their meetings with Ways and Means.
